About Us

The Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms deals with all matters related to personnel administration in the State. This includes the posting of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and State Service officers to the various establishments of the Government of Meghalaya, training of officials, service rules and administrative reforms.

It is the Administrative Department of the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI), the Meghalaya State Information Commission (MSIC), the Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) and the Meghalaya State Public Services Delivery Commission (MSPSDC). It also services all District and Sub-Divisional Establishments and the Governor's Secretariat.

The Department is headed by the Chief Secretary who is assisted by the Commissioner & Secretary, two Secretaries, one Joint Secretary, one Deputy Secretary and three Under Secretaries. The Department has a vision to improve the services being rendered by it to the Government as well as to the public at large.
