About the Personnel & A.R.Department
The Department of Personnel & Administrative Reforms deals with all matters related to personnel administration in the State which includes the posting of Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and State Service Officers to the various establishments of the Government of Meghalaya, training of officials, service rules, administrative reforms, etc. It is also the Administrative Department of the Meghalaya Administrative Training Institute (MATI), Meghalaya State Information Commission (MSIC), Meghalaya Public Service Commission (MPSC) and the Meghalaya State Public Services Delivery Commission (MSPSDC). Its services all District & Sub-Divisional Establishments as well as the Governor’s Secretariat.
The Department is headed by the Chief Secretary who is assisted by the Commissioner & Secretary, two Secretaries, one Joint Secretary, one Deputy Secretary and three Under Secretaries.
The Department has a vision to improve the services being rendered by it to the Government as well as to the public at large.
